Dashboard battery and emergency brake signal lights stay on while driving of awhile? Cause and how to fix?

The dashboard brake sign and the dashboard battery sign sometimes stay on while I drive my 1991 Toyota Pickup. Eventually, sometimes they go away which is really weird, but was wondering how to fix this problem. I just got a new battery around 10 months ago, so the battery is not dead and the emergency brake sign just doesn't disappear when I release it. They are located next to each other on the dash. Hope all that info helps, it is extremely annoying to have them on while driving.Dashboard battery and emergency brake signal lights stay on while driving of awhile? Cause and how to fix?Means you need an alternator. Older Japanese and Korean cars lit up the brake warning light too for some reason.Dashboard battery and emergency brake signal lights stay on while driving of awhile? Cause and how to fix?as for the battery, i would have the charging system checked. since the battery is new, either the alternator isn't charging enough or there is a wire loose/bad ground, causing the battery light to come on.

for the brake light, do make sure you have enough brake fluid in your reservoir under the hood. if that is good, its most likely the switch connected to the E-brake handle is bad or stuck, so that when you let the brake off, it will stay on.

hope this helps
