How much car battery and gas does it waste?

If I turn my car on to shoot hoops for an hour or something and have the doors open to listen to music do I have to worry about killing the battery and my uncle said to always keep the car on when you listen to music and never just in the battery mode because it will drain your battery. So do I have to worry about draining the battery and how much gas does it waste in idle for an hour?How much car battery and gas does it waste?With the price of gas you shouldn't even consider leaving your car run. That is foolish and wasteful! Leaving your radio on when the car is off will definately drain your battery, but if your battery is new, then you should be fine. If it is older, then an hour is just enough time to drain it enough to not have enough juice to start your car. Personally, I would buy a radio that takes batteries and set that up on the court.
