Okay so I have a toshiba laptop that is less than one month old. The battery average is almost 2 hours. But I have to go on a 4 hour trip soon and Im going to be using it a lot on the trip. So I want to know are there things I can do to make its battery last a little longer? If you are riding on an Airplane I recommend shutting of the wireless switch usually a slider button on the laptop. Also go to your start menu click on control panel then go to power settings. Change the setting from system performance to the power saver mode. Then when you get to your hotel change it back. This will usually give you 3-4 hours on power saving mode. Also to get the most out of your battery life in a laptop, remember when it's fully charged unplug it and run the battery down to 10% then plug it back in.
