How do I hook up a second battery in the trunk of my Ford Explorer?

I have 1 Size 65 battery under the hood, and I have an extra size 65 battery lying around the garage, and I want to hook it in the trunk. The batteries are the same size. How do I go about doin this? How do I hook up a second battery in the trunk of my Ford Explorer?1) set up a battery hold down mechanism in the trunk. to hold it secure in an accident.

2) get a black and red power cables or battery calbes and hook the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative, The batteries need to run in parallel to keep the voltage the same.

3) Car stereo shops sell long battery cables if you do not find them at your local auto or 4x4 shop. You will probably find the lowest price on line at a 4x4 parts distributor.
