How come my laptop battery dies out a lot and take forever to charge up?

I just bought new battery and it's my 3rd time buying my ac adapter. my ac adapter always get extremly hot and when my laptop battery is going low it take about 2 hours to charge it back up to 100%. Usually it takes less thant 40 minute to charge it back to full charge. Anyone knows what's wonrg. Sometimes my air vent on the bottom of my laptop get hot too even though I do not cover it up too.How come my laptop battery dies out a lot and take forever to charge up?Laptop batteries can be overpriced and not always get you the battery life you need. How come my laptop battery dies out a lot and take forever to charge up?2 problems there:

1) if it's running Windows, it will never get great battery life, 3 1/2 hr. MAX!!!

2) heat can also make the battery not run as long. I recommend one of the cooling pads.



Also... Are you sure you have the correct AC adapter?
