I recently acquired a new cell phone and the battery life on my last phone was down right horrible. How can I best maximize my battery life on my new phone? Should I wait until the battery is low, charge it nightly? What is the best way to insure long battery life for my cell phone? What is the most effective charging tacticFor the first few nights, drain the battery until it's completely dead, put in on a WALL charger, not CAR, powered off for at least 6 hours, if not overnight. Then, anytime you go to charge it on the wall charger, make sure it's powered off, or you'll end up having excessive battery drain, powering off issues, excessive heat, incompatible charger errors etc. Also, while talking on it plugged in can damage the phones heat covers on the board itself, so even if it's the car charger, take it off when you talk. One last thing, if you charge your phone while powered on (excluding car charger because it's a different charge) it can mess with it because it's using power as it's charging so it gets a mixed charge leading to all the above results. If you have any more questions, I'm a technician. Thanks! What is the best way to insure long battery life for my cell phone? What is the most effective charging tacticfully charge it first time.
then, run it down all the way before you ever charge it.
try to only charge it at home, rather than in a car or with a usb port.
let it almost die each time before you ever charge it.
