I have a dell inspiron 630m computer and i bought a battery. My friends said it's very easy to install and found instructions online, but i don't know where the battery is located. I know its somewhere on the bottom of the computer but when I checked each slot none of them looked like a battery. Anyone know where it is, and how to get to it?How to install a battery for a dell inspiron computer?What type of battery? The actual battery to power the laptop? or the motherboard battery? The main battery - to replace, set your laptop flat, facing you. Flip it upside down so that the front is still facing you.
Now, on the bottom left - that's where your battery is.
You'll see a slider - slide it across, and you should see the battery rise a little bit. now pull the raised tab on the battery towards you.
You have now taken out the battery.
To put the new one in... put it in!
If you're talking about a BIOS battery, contact me, that's a bit harder.
