How fast does texting kill your battery life compared to calling?

I'll be getting text for my phone soon, and i've never had it. I'm just curious how much of a battery burn it is compared to calling someone. Does it barely effect the battery, or is 1 text like a 1 or 2 minute phone call? Just curios cuz I seem to kill my battery fast and constantly recharge, it'd be nice to text for most stuff and keep the battery life for important calls only. How fast does texting kill your battery life compared to calling?Texting does NOT drain the battery more than talking. When my phone is beeping, telling me by battery is dying, I can only talk for MAYBE three more minutes. BUT, when my battry is blinking/dying, I can text for about ten more minutes (even send a massive text to 22 people...did that when I got engaged. My phone was dying when I sent the text, and not only did it send all of the texts before it died, but it allowed me to respond a couple times to almost everyone who responded.)

Moral of the story...texting totally saves the battery over talking. How fast does texting kill your battery life compared to calling?1 minute on the phone is going to drain out as much battery as 1 60 word text message, that is if you have fast fingers. every minute and every 60 word text message will drain out 0.02% of your battery. So, if you are on the phone for one minute and sent like a 60-61 word text message, your battery will go down by 0.04%. I read this on a website, but I don't remember which one so I can't give you the link. How fast does texting kill your battery life compared to calling?Okay well I have the pantech matrix.
