I use my Laptop on the electric.I was told i have to keep the long,removable,battery, that is placed along the back connected all the time. This information is for all battery enabled devices such as laptops and ipods etc. Once the battery is fully charged remove the power adapter and run the device solely on battery power, do this until the battery is flat then re attach the power and charge fully.

If you do your laptop batter will end up llike mine. WORN OUT! Now my batter can only last five minutes with out the adapter connected.
But i know you can remove the battery from the computer and just use the long adapter which you plug into the wall. Because you should only use the two together if you are trying to charge the laptop internal battery.
