What is the battery life of an ipod nano 4th generation suppose to be?

I have an ipod nano 4th generation and after it's fully charged it lasts about 2 and a half hours. To me, this isn't very long so is it suppose to last longer than this or not?

When I ask about the battery life I mean - Once it's fully charged and you leave it on playing songs how long would it last before it dies?

Thank you. What is the battery life of an ipod nano 4th generation suppose to be?The batter LIFE, of an ipod nano 4th generation is for audio: 24 hours and for video: 4 hours

of course these are variable on the brightness, and how often you actually use the buttons, for scrolling etc, because all this uses up battery. So i would say that 2 and a half hours wasn't very long, no. But you can turn down brightness, or lock your ipod when playing music, so doesn't use as much battery. What is the battery life of an ipod nano 4th generation suppose to be?Their are two option for carging the battery

IPod nano (5th generation) have an internal rechargeable battery. To charge the battery, choose one of the options below:

first is Connect the device to a power outlet using the included cable and an Apple USB power adapter to charge the battery.

Important note : See the Apple Ultracompact USB Power Adapter Exchange program page to determine if your adapter needs to be replaced before using it to charge your iPod nano.

second is Connect the device to your computer (not your keyboard) using the included USB cable. Your computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If the device is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
