Hi , I updated my iPod touch 2g to the new ios 4 software ,and I'm not liking it that much because the battery doesn't last half as long anymore .I was just wondering how I can downgrade it to it's original software?thanks;)How can I downgrade my iPod touch software?you don't really have to downgrade
there are other things that can contribute to your draining battery
try using tips from the support site before you decide to downgrade:

you may get errors if you restore but that NORMAL, DO NOT PANIC ^__^, its jsut telling you that you are restoring to old os
